The Hemlock House is part of the Whitson family’s connection to Dunsmuir, dating back to 1986, when the family built its first cabin as a place to gather, reconnect with nature and enjoy the fly fishing. The family hosts the Pacific Crest Music Festival and its “Tribute to the Trees” concerts in the Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens. During the festival, musicians use The Hemlock House as a quiet place to rehearse, relax and disconnect. A trail behind the home leads down toward the river, with world-class fly fishing, Mossbrae Falls, and swimming holes steps from the front door. Fine dining & shopping are all nearby, including Café Maddalena, Mt. Shasta Ski Park, Lake Siskiyou, Ted Fay Fly Shop & Dunsmuir Brewery. The front yard features a Dogwood garden and mature apple trees that attract birds, squirrels and other wildlife throughout the seasons. Vintage-style windows offer peaceful views of the garden and surrounding forest. The backyard provides space to BBQ, gather, relax in the hot tub and enjoy clear mountain skies. Inside, the four-bedroom layout gives families and groups room to spread out, cook, play games, listen to music or simply slow down together. The fully remodeled garage provides a clean, secure space for car enthusiasts to keep their vehicles protected from the elements, with room for detailing and caring for your car. Rental Rates:
$250/night (2 night minimum) + $500 security deposit
$1,300/week + $500 security deposit
$3,750/month + $1,000 security deposit
